This is our flowery heart design.  Its happy and fun!!  I haven't had a quilt to quilt it on yet, however I look forward to using it on something.

This design creates some awesome texture.  Kind of a wood knot look to it.  Here are some examples I've quilted it on.

- Bubble Wrap Double Take -

I love the simple waviness of this design.  Its a great modern design, and adds the perfect amount of quilting especially with minky on the back.

Arrowhead

 Recently I created this design on the Statler on my Gammill long arm quilting machine.

To then make it available to other quilters, I sent it to Patricia Ritter my co-designer.

She had it digitized and so it is available in formats for each long arm machine across the market. 

Arrowhead is available at Urban Elementz in paper and digital formats.

 

Here are some samples of quilts that I've quilted it on.

 This baby boy plus quilt I made for my childhood best friend, who's having a baby next month.

I used black cross weave from Moda Fabrics which is available at Sisters and Quilters on etsy.

I also used a + and x fabric from Art Gallery fabrics by Katarina Roccella.

 One of my most favorite things about quilting, is the texture that quilting gives a quilt!

I used a cotton/poly blend batting and perma core white thread.

 A close up!!  Love it!

 Another close up, this one on a client quilt.

 Lastly, a strip quilt that my aunt made with the 14-15 year old young women she teaches at church, for one of the other leaders who just had a baby boy.  What I love about Arrowhead is the versatility, there are a variety of didn't fabrics and quilt designs it works great with.

Susan's "Swoon 16" quilt!

Susan made this fun "Swoon 16" quilt, pattern by Camille Roskelley

and made with Bonnie and Camille "Daysail" fabrics.

I've quilted a few other swoon quilts similar to this, but this one is a 16" block...which is my most favorite size to quilt, so the rulers I used to quilt it are a different size.

I used a 4" circle ruler for the inner star peel design.  I used a 5" circle ruler in all the house shapes, in the block.  I used the 7" circle ruler for the design I made in the background of the four corners of each block.  Lastly, I used a -12- curve ruler from Linda at The Quilted Pineapple.

 I wish I had better light for pictures...

 Fun for me to see the design as a whole.

 The design created in the center, where all the four corners meet...is my favorite!

I love how it looks with the curved lines in the sashing.

 I can see why so many people love the "swoon" quilt, especially this size!

Here is a video of me quilting the block continuous without having to stop and start new threads.  When I do ruler work or any custom work, I like to try and figure out the easiest and fastest path to quilting a block.  This video shows how I shuffle around the rulers as I quilt, which may be too much for you, the more you do it the easier it gets.  I love the look that ruler work gives a quilt.

Kim's 'Swoon' with V&Co fabrics

This swoon block is between the 16" swoon and the regular swoon.

The Swoon pattern is by Camille Roskelley.

The colored fabrics are by Vanessa Christensen from V&Co.

The grey background is a Moda cross weave and is available for the time being <here>.

I drew out this geometric light custom design awhile back, and my client decided on a different option.  I was excited when I saw these fabrics, and knew that this quilting design would lend itself well to the geometric designs in Vanessa's.  I love how it turned out. 

 

 For the curves I used three circles ranging from 5"-7" and a curve ruler from my wonderful friend Linda at The Quilted Pineapple.  I also used her 5" and 12" edge rulers for all the straight lines.

 I love these angled views of the quilt that show different textures created by the curves and lines.

 

 You may wonder which ruler I used where... 

 I will tell you this, because each block is a different size a curve that may work in one of these blocks isn't going to work the same in a different block.  I recommend getting a circle and curve ruler set that gives you a range of options.  I use each of Linda's curve rulers all the time.  Sometimes a -12- is great for the sashing, and other times I need the -20-.  You won't know until you have the quilt on and ready to quilt.  Circles are great for a deeper curve.  I have a set of circles ranging from 3" up to 11", which I highly recommend.  The rulers I have are designed by a company that is no longer in business.  They really only have one line that runs horizontally and vertically.  I recommend looking for a set that has more measurement lines, and possibly some other lines helpful for peel curves.

I wish I had a great set to recommend...and maybe you have a great set, if so please share...OR we can beg wonderful Linda to make us a set!!  :)
